About Easyart
The inspiration for Easyart goes back more than 150 years to a pioneer of picture merchants, Arthur Tooth. The son of a humble framer, Tooth made his fortune selling etchings to well-heeled Victorian patrons - usually from a semi-recumbent position on a sofa in his club. Today, his great-great-grandson, Simon Matthews, gives the old family business a modern twist, using Internet technology to take the stress out of buying framed art.
Not since Mr Tooth has shopping for art been this easy or this much fun. The Easyart website fulfils the need for an accessible, convenient art marketplace, offering the UK's widest selection of reproductions, limited edition prints, photographic images, and posters. Using the latest interactive tools, you can choose from our extensive catalog, create personalised galleries and experiment with frames and mounts - all of which means you see exactly what you're paying for before you buy. And if you just want to relax, the site offers a range of silly games, informative pieces on art and artists, and hot design tips. |

And the fun doesn't stop once you place an order: Easyart's hand-on-heart commitment to craftsmanship and customer service means that the framing will always be top quality and the order will be fulfilled quickly and efficiently. Promise - or your money back.
For individuals who want to brighten up their parlour wall, and for professionals who need to deck out an entire office block, Easyart is the easy answer. By delivering on our promises, we aim to be the source for framed art world-wide.
Mr Tooth would be proud, bless him. |
Who are Easyart? |
 |
Simon Matthews, CEO After dumping a dull Finance job in 1988, Simon went to work in the art world, putting a contemporary spin on a trade his family has pursued for over 150 years. He is the co-founder of Davies and Tooth, art dealers and consultants specialising in art for the corporate sector. He is also founder and Managing Director of the Air Gallery in Central London. What a busy boy he is! |
 |
Ian Brooker, Operations Director The man who put the logic back in logistics, Ian started his career moving boxes in a warehouse - the best place to learn hands-on about the realities of fulfillment. His problem-solving and management skills give him what it takes to track inventory, manage multiple sites, fill orders quickly and accurately, and keep costs under control. Bring those orders on! |
 |
Gary Davis, CTO Before Gary joined Easyart he used to work for a company that made false limbs - arms & legs...that sort of thing (in the IT Department, he hastens to add!). Now he is the man who keeps the whole show on the road and has to go out in the middle of the night with his soldering iron if our servers blow up! There is not much that Gary doesn't know, or which he can't learn in about 5 minutes. In his spare time he is mostly legless... |
 |
Simon Hayes-Fisher, Master Framer Simon has been a mobile home merchant, a vacuum cleaner salesman and an ice cream vendor- though, he confesses, not all at once. He's put cars together for Ford and mixed paint on an industrial scale. He's even lived in Canada. What better to prepare him for a career as master craftsman and expert on mounts and frames? A professional framer since 1986, Simon owns Blue Jay Frames. |

Marianne Villiers-Stuart, Head of Customer Services Marianne has been taking care of people for years, in the UK and in Paris. She has worked for Diamond Brokers, Authors, Earls, and Television Presenters. Now Marianne has in her charge the most important people of all - our Customers! To be honest, most of Marianne's time is spent dealing with the many admiring calls and e-mails that you shower us with! From time to time, though, there are the occasional little hiccups that we have to deal with (we're only human...!), and Marianne uses all her charm and efficiency to make them go away! |
 |
The Easyart Team Here we are - the majority of the Easyart crew. It was no mean feat getting everybody looking fairly sane - you should have seen the rejected group photos! Since this was taken we have several new members... and we plan to keep on growing so watch this space. |
